These terms govern your use of the FocusInit mobile app and focusinit.app website (together, the "Service"), operated by Linh Morton-Tran ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
FocusInit is a productivity app designed for people who struggle with executive function challenges. It uses AI to help you break down tasks, plan your day, and build momentum. It is a productivity tool, not a medical device, therapeutic service, or substitute for professional healthcare.
FocusInit does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Features like energy check-ins, basic needs reminders, and pattern insights are for personal awareness only. They are not clinical assessments. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline).
You must sign in with Apple or Google to use FocusInit. You are responsible for maintaining access to your sign-in method. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.
New accounts receive a 21-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial, a paid subscription is required to continue using the app. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system at the prices displayed at the time of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies.
Founding member pricing is available to the first 200 subscribers at a discounted rate. This pricing is locked in for as long as your subscription remains active.
FocusInit uses AI to generate task breakdowns, daily recaps, and replanning suggestions. This content is generated automatically and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to act on AI suggestions. We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated content.
You own the tasks, goals, notes, and other content you create in FocusInit. We do not claim ownership of your content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content as needed to provide the Service (for example, sending task titles to our AI provider for task breakdown). This license ends when you delete your account.

We aim to keep FocusInit available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. Some features (like AI task breakdown and replanning) require an internet connection. Offline mode provides limited functionality with data syncing when connectivity is restored.
You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email. Upon termination, your data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FocusInit and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of Faulkner County, Arkansas.
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
